Implementation leaders were identified by qualitative content analysis using a priori CFIR codes and cross-case synthesis. The identified champions were rated for their key attributes, and we observed patterns in their characteristics, context, and implementation outcomes. We found that all the champions in our study were obstetrician-gynecologists, and the attributes of champions were influence, persuasiveness, grit, and adherence.
